Sisters

This is my sister, Robin.
a.k.a. Robby-doo-lyn-jean-bob, Bob, Robby . . .
These are some of my fav pictures of my sister. Robin is one of the coolest people I know. I have a little bit of hope in my cool-ness because I think she might still a little bit think I'm cool. She is so stinkin cute, I can't even handle it. Today is her 17th birthday and I wish I was in CO with her, so I'm going to do some reminiscing here on the blogarino.
This one time {Nov. 2009} we were at our Grandma's house for Thanksgiving and we had a photo-shoot with some old hats. It's sad that this picture is blurry, but I think it actually fits perfectly and the faces are just so us. I like doing silly things with my sister. She makes me laugh. Oh! One funny thing is that, ironically, she is afraid of birds.

Robin was the cutest, smiley-est child ever. I used to boss her around a lot, but she was just so cute. If you could have seen her as a baby you just would have died. She used to say "I don't matter" {her combination of 'It doesn't matter' and 'I don't care'} in the sweetest little voice. She also used to "aks" questions and call her little blanket her "sss-kilky" when we tried to get her to say silky instead of kilky. She used to draw tons of super cute pictures, and she is still super artsy. She is also very stylish.

This picture makes me laugh. It was a very much failed attempt at capturing us + Barcelona written in the sand. And our body positions are just plain awkward. This girl speaks my language. This is evidenced by some of her Facebook status updates.

These ones are just funny:
Robin Sessions What is it with steel wool? Is it steel? Or is it wool?
Robin Sessions it is my dream to be on a cheerleader movie featured on ABC Family.
Robin Sessions maybe she wants to be a bakeist . . .
Robin Sessions is going to Narnia to return to her life as a mystical princess

This one pretty much describes my feelings about the male species:
Robin Sessions aww that's cute you have a crush on yourself . . . too bad you're in love with a jerk.

These two essentially describe my current hopes and dreams:
Robin Sessions is moving far away to a country where no one knows her and where no one speaks english.
especially this one . . .
Robin Sessions is in need of a ruggedly handsome young man who will travel the world with her . . .
Everyone loves Robin, because really, what's not to love? {well, maybe just that thing where she always steals my clothes when I'm at home} She is so awesome and I love having her for my sister. She is so supportive and she always makes me laugh.
Love you Robby-doo! Happy 17!

adorable olympians, part 2

Scott Moir & Tessa Virtue - Ice Dancing
Ok, so I'm including both of them in my adorable Olympians because Tessa is seriously cute, but I think we all know I'm really thinking about Scott. Is it bad that I was totally rooting for them to win gold because they were the cutest? But they did win gold, so it seems the judges also thought they were the best.
I just had to cheer for Canada in this event.
Scott Moir was too cute.
It is kind of a shame he's an ice dancer, though.

Here is more proof that I need to do something with my life. Tessa Virtue is 20 and she has a gold medal now! I've got to get on this whole winning Olympic medals thing!

adorable olympians, part 1

I love the Olympics! I am planning to skip my classes for the next 2 weeks and do nothing but sit on the couch and watch the Olympics. Just kidding, but I wish! Anyway, as I was watching yesterday I saw my first adorable Olympian. Here he is!

J.R. Celski- short track speed skating

Adorable right? He's 19, but I think he looks like he's about 12, in this picture at least.

Watching the Olympics always makes me feel like I've done nothing with my life. This kid is 19 and he just won a bronze medal in the Olympics. Where are my medals?! I guess sitting on the couch watching the events isn't getting me any closer.
Anyway,
 GO TEAM USA!

brothers

I think I have the most awesome brothers in the world. They are some of the funniest people I know. I was having lunch with Parker today and just thinking about how hard my brothers make me laugh.  They are so fun to talk to and I love when I get to be with them.

This is Grant.
Grant is totally hip. He's kind of a ladies man. He plays tennis and he wears good clothes. He plays piano and guitar. It's pretty cool. He just got a ukulele and basically I think he should be the next J-Mraz. I'm super impressed with his skills on the guitar. He is way cooler than I was in middle school. Actually, I think he's way cooler at 13 than I am at 20. I can imagine him growing up to be filthy rich. He'll be a fancy business man or something and have a giant apartment in NYC and a house in the Hamptons.
Have you ever seen a kid this cute? Seriously. Whenever I see him I just want to hug him and squeeze him. I'm sure he loves it. I'm like the great aunt Myrtle that pinches the kids' cheeks and scares them. Well hopefully I'm not that bad, but I just love this boy. He's good at shooting and driving a snowmobile. I like going skiing with him too, even though it has been a long time.
Also, he loves to travel as much as I do. When he was five we went to New York and he fell in love. I don't know many five-year-olds who can totally walk all around a big city, get through the little Subway turnstile things alone, and put up with going to museums. Also, if you know any other boys who, at 12 years old, would be able to handle a few hours walking through Casa Milá and checking out the fab architecture, courtesy of GaudĂ, I would be surprised. Stud.

This is Parker.
Parker is hilarious. When we were driving through Wyoming in August we saw this sign, and Parker thought we needed to take pictures with it. Very funny. We like to watch clips on The Onion. We also love Penelope. {If you haven't seen the SNL sketches with Penelope, you should check them out.} One time I was nervous for a Chemistry test and Parker sent me a Penelope-style text that said something like, "Well I was speeding so fast I broke the sound barrier and drove to the future and in the future you already took this test and you passed, so congratulations."
Since Parker is at BYU now we get to hang out a lot and it is really fun. We go to dinner a lot. We also like to go to the International Cinema and exhibits at the MOA. One time we went the symphony and we had front row seats. Are we cool or what? It's sweet because I know Parker will go to plays and stuff with me. He's a great brother. And he even does my dishes when he comes over and I'm grumpy. Without being asked. I must say, that's pretty impressive. He also helps me with Spanish.
Parker loves food. He loves to cook. I don't love to cook, so I find it pretty impressive. He really really loves Indian food and he makes delish chicken curry and nan. In the future, if his girlfriend doesn't like Indian food that will be a deal breaker. He should probably be the next Alton Brown. He loves Good Eats. It used to fill up our DVR at home. Again, Parker loves to travel. We've been discussing the possibility of doing some sort of Motorcycle Diaries adventure through South America. Not going to happen, but it would be sweet.

Ok, but seriously, how great are my brothers? I'm sure everyone else's brothers are great too, but mine are extra great. ;-)
